Cancer Equality is a unique organisation working to address the inequality in cancer care faced by people from Black and Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BMER) communities CE Image

Our Vision

Is of a society where all members of BMER communities have access to cutting edge information and support services. They receive care appropriate to their individual needs, which is delivered with dignity and respect.

Our Mission

Is to bridge the gap in existing services for people from BMER communities affected by cancer at a local and national level.

Our AIM is to:

  • Develop a centre of excellence providing quality, equitable and sensitive information and support services, across all cancer care services
  • Raise awareness about cancer screening and risk reduction
  • Work in partnership with providers in order to reduce inequalities and make services more accessible and culturally sensitive
  • Work across a spectrum of cancer services
