Our Projects Lung Cancer

Lung Cancer Information Project

People from black and ethnic minority communities tend to be diagnosed with lung cancer later than the rest of the population and are therefore less likely to survive it. But despite this fact, there’s very little information available about lung cancer for people who don’t speak English as their first language.

Front PageThat’s why Cancer Equality, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and The Afiya Trust have produced lung cancer information materials for those from black and minority ethnic communities.  These materials are available in written and audio format and are free of charge.

It covers everything from the signs and symptoms of lung cancer, to the diagnosis and treatment of the illness, to living with this type of cancer.
